Lincoln McDonald’s drive-thrus opening Thursday

The wait is almost over

The wait is almost over to get your McDonald’s fix in Lincoln as all the drive-thrus in the city are set to open on Thursday.

The fast food giant announced last month that it would re-open every drive-thru by June 4. Drive-thrus were set to re-open between Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4, with locations being released on the morning of each day.

The branch on Trinity Street in Gainsborough was the only Lincolnshire one announced among 168 locations re-opening on June 2.

A further 497 restaurants that will be operating as drive-thrus re-opened from 11am and 43 will begin offering McDelivery.

Two branches in each of Boston and Scunthorpe re-opened on Wednesday, June 3, alongside outlets in Long Sutton, Stamford, Spalding, Bourne and Skegness.

This means that every drive-thru in Lincoln – Ropewalk, Newark Road, Moorland Way and at the Carlton Centre – will re-open on Thursday, June 4.

McDonald’s said it will have a limited menu (no breakfasts or milkshakes for now) and it will be open for reduced hours from 11am to 10pm.

Customers are encouraged to use contactless payment methods and to cap spend at £25. Those visiting the drive-thrus are also able to order and pay in advance using the My McDonald’s App.
