Councillor Eddy Poll, executive member for waste at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “We’d like to thank the public for being so understanding as we’ve reopened this much needed service. Since opening, we’ve had over 50,000 bookings and have been overwhelmed by the positivity and kindness of our residents.

“That said, we know people have been wanting to bring bulky items and use their trailers – so we’re delighted that from July 6 they will be able to on a Tuesday and Friday.

“We will continue to use our new booking system as it allows us to safely manage vehicles on site, and enables us to keep to the social distancing guidelines for both the public and our staff.

“We’d ask residents when making a booking, please just double check you select the right day for the right waste type.”
