Scunthorpe fatal crash victim named by police

Specially trained officers are supporting the victim’s family

A 39-year-old man who died in a crash on Mortal Ash Hill in Scunthorpe on Tuesday has been named by police as Peter Harris.

A blue Toyota Aygo and a silver Range Rover collided at the point where the dual carriageway merged into a single lane shortly before 5pm on June 2.

Peter Harris, the male driver of the Toyota, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Toyota and the driver of the Range Rover suffered minor injuries.

Humberside Police said: “Specially trained officers continue to support Peter’s family, who have asked for privacy at this difficult time.”

Officers investigating the crash are urging any witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting log 379 of June 2, 2020.
