Weekend thunderstorm warning in Lincolnshire

The heatwave may be coming to an end

By Local Democracy Reporter

The heatwave across Lincolnshire this week could be about to end, with thunderstorm warnings forecast over the weekend.

People in Lincolnshire have been basking in the heat all week, as we felt the hottest day of the year so far on Wednesday.

The Met Office has predicted more hot weather on Friday with up to 27℃, but with a yellow warning of thunderstorms, torrential rain and hail in spells.

Heavy downpours are expected between 10-11am, but humidity will remain high throughout the day, reaching 70% as the day draws to a close.

Saturday also has a regional warning for stormy weather, with the temperature dropping from highs of 27℃ to 21℃.

This weather warning will see the heat calm into next week, with highs of around 20℃ rather than what we’ve had this week.
