A community amateur sports and social club in Lincoln closed after a customer tested positive for coronavirus.
Ruston Sports & Social Club on Newark Road reopened on July 4 with reduced hours, but it has already had to close again.
It posted on Saturday, July 11 that it will be closed after a customer tested positive, who was in the venue on Friday evening.
The club will test all of its staff and will not reopen until they feel it is safe to do so.
Ruston Sports & Social Club posted the announcement on its Facebook page.
The news caused a lot of frustration on social media, including from Daniel Nicholson who claimed the customer “went there even though they were awaiting results, I’ve heard”.
Sarah Alcock added: “How selfish that this person still went out knowing that they suspected that they possibly had COVID-19 by going for a test, but then going out after instead of isolating for seven days. No wonder this virus is still doing its rounds.”
