Lincoln TUI store at risk of closure

All stores still closed at risk, including Lincoln

By Local Democracy Reporter

Holiday firm TUI will close 166 of its travel shops, with the Lincoln branch at risk of being one of them.

The travel company has decided to focus on online sales, after noticing a change in customer behaviour which saw more people go online for holiday bookings.

The 166 closures could affect around 900 jobs, with 350 stores remaining after the cutbacks.

A spokesperson for TUI confirmed that all stores currently open are not at risk of closure, including the Grimsby and Scunthorpe branches.

Lincoln’s shop in the Stonebow Centre on Silver Street has been closed since March and has no set return date as of yet.

A full list of store closures has not been released.
