Police confirmed that they are investigating the death of a 34-year-old man, describing it as unexplained but not suspicious.
The man has been named locally as Lee Hunter.
His brother Stefan Hunter commented on The Lincolnite saying: “RIP brother, you will be loved and missed.”
Other commenters sent their messages of support to Lee and the family, saying “so very sad, rest in peace” and “what a very sad ending to any life”.
The area surrounding House of Fraser had been cordoned off while emergency services dealt with the situation. The cordon has since been removed.
