Lincolnshire driver Jack Harvey celebrated a top 10 finish over the weekend at one of the most iconic races ever, the Indy 500.

The Indianapolis 500 is a 500 mile race around the infamous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and is considered as the greatest spectacle in racing.

Jack Harvey, from Bassingham near Sleaford, was racing in his fourth Indy 500 in America, and managed to finish in 9th place.

It is his highest ever finish, having previously come 16th in 2018, 21st in 2019 and 31st in his debut year in 2017.

Jack was in the race alongside legendary Formula One driver Fernando Alonso, and even managed to beat him.

The race was won by Takuma Sato, who became just the 20th driver to win the iconic race more than once.
