Three arrested in Cleethorpes after trying to rob 14-year-old boys

The trio were reportedly carrying weapons

Two men and a teenage boy have been arrested after an attempted robbery on two teenage boys in Cleethorpes.

At around 6.30pm on Thursday, August 20, two 14-year-old boys were approached on Daubney Street by three people on bikes carrying weapons.

The trio threatened to attack the boys before trying to take items from them.

Police attended the scene and arrested two men, aged 26 and 18, and a 16-year-old boy in connection with the incident.

The victims weren’t injured but were left shaken by the incident.

The three suspects remain in custody while investigations continue.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward by calling 101 and quoting incident 469 of Thursday, August 20.
