Family kitchen business expands into Lincoln trade park

An emerging father and sons brand

By Local Democracy Reporter

A family kitchen design and installation firm has expanded business by moving into Bishops Trade Park in Lincoln.

SOTA Living, which stands for State of the Art, is headed by Philip Ardron and his two sons Rick and Tom.

The family business is currently based on Sadler Road but will move into a unit on Bishops Trade Park, off Outer Circle Road in the autumn.

SOTA is progressing even further than kitchens with the move, as it will also offer stylish fitted bedrooms.

One of the directors, dad Philip, said: “We had a strong start to the year and we knew we needed more space.

“The fact that we have had the confidence to secure larger premises to meet our future aspirations, during the coronavirus pandemic, sends out a positive message to potential customers.”

Site developers Padley confirmed that the area’s development will create 450 jobs after the final unit of phase one went under offer.

Padley hope to press ahead with a planning application for phase two soon, which will feature complementary light industrial units.
