Imps sign midfielder on loan from Forest

More attacking threat for Lincoln

By Local Democracy Reporter

Lincoln City have secured the loan signing of attacking midfielder Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest.

The 19-year-old joins the Imps from the Championship and comes with international experience at youth level with Wales.

Brennan broke into the Forest first team after football restarted during the coronavirus pandemic, making the bench and appearing in games against Yorkshire clubs Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town.

He has also appeared multiple times in the Carabao Cup against big opposition, including Chelsea and Arsenal already in his very early career.

Michael Appleton will hope the new signing will add a bit more firepower going forward, following Lincoln’s 7-2 loss to Premier League Champions Liverpool on Thursday.
