Lincoln Halifax bank closed after staff with COVID-19 symptoms

Not enough staff left to stay open

By Local Democracy Reporter

The Halifax bank branch off Lincoln High Street has temporarily closed due to several staff members self-isolating.

It was closed on Monday until further notice as they don’t have enough staff to keep the bank open.

While the branch is closed, people can do everyday banking at the Post Office, checking balances, making withdrawals and depositing money into current accounts.

Failing that, the nearest open branches of Halifax banks are in Newark and Gainsborough.

A sign put up in the bank window provides further information about the sudden closure.

It reads: “We’ve temporarily closed the branch as some of our colleagues are taking precautionary steps to self-isolate.

“This means we do not have enough staff available to keep the branch open.

“We will continue to monitor the situation closely and reopen the branch as soon as we are able to do so.”
