Lincolnshire tip raises £200k for charity… selling ‘rubbish’

One man’s junk is another man’s treasure

Grimsby Recycling Centre has raised more than £200,000 for charity by selling on ‘rubbish’ people have thrown away.

Bowling balls, golf clubs, suitcases and clocks are among the many items the tip has sold to raise vital funds for charity.

Staff at the tip say people don’t realise the potential of what they’re throwing away, describing the finds as ‘unbelievable”.
