Developers seek final approval for 130 new homes in Boston village

It was already approved at outline stage

A developer looking to build 132 new homes in Wyberton has submitted final plans for approval.

Cyden Homes received outline permission for the proposals on land north of Tytton Lane East from Boston Borough Council earlier this year.

At the time, officers said the scheme would “provide a substantial contribution to the housing supply within the borough and would provide for a high quality housing scheme”.

The site forms part of the South East Lincolnshire Local Plan and will include a new road, footpaths and pedestrian links to the site as well as areas of public space.

Objectors, including Wyberton Parish Council, had previously raised concerns around the level of traffic generated by the scheme, as well as the impact on local infrastructure, and the loss of recreational green spaces.

However, officers said the impact on the local highway would “not be of significance” in their previous report.

How the site could be laid out.

“It is considered the principle of residential development would not cause ‘substantial harm’ to the amenity of nearby land users or residents,” they said.

The developers latest plans include further details around access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale.

They believe the site will deliver a range of social, economic and environmental benefits.
