Residents of Wainfleet insist on staying put, even after being evacuated due to flooding caused by Storm Babet over the weekend.

Lincolnshire experienced an unprecedented deluge on Friday, October 20, receiving two months’ worth of rainfall in just 24 hours.

The village of Wainfleet, located on the outskirts of Skegness, was particularly affected, with residents forced to evacuate as rising water levels from the nearby relief channel threatened their homes.
