Tomorrow marks the start of the Lincoln Faiths Festival 2017, a peaceful celebration for people of all faiths and backgrounds.

The festival, taking place all over Lincoln from April 21 until May 1, is being held to celebrate faith in all its denominations.

It is hoped the festival will provide the opportunity for people to find out more about different faiths, and join in with activities including a web walk, exhibitions and visits to places of worship.

The celebration starts with an Exhibition of Faiths at St Mary Le Wigford Church on Friday, April 21.

Visitors will have the opportunity to find out about different faiths from all over the world including Sikh, Islam and more.

The exhibition is on until May 1, and is also being held at Lincoln Central Library at from April 24 to 29.

There are also two coach trips taking place.

The first of which is to Pure Land Meditation Centre and Garden on Sunday, April 23, and the second is a trip to visit a variety of places of worship in Leicester.

On Wednesday 26 April, there will be a Q&A session at the University of Lincoln where people can turn up and find out more about the different faiths from those involved.
