The Fallen Angel is the highly anticipated final instalment of Dr Tracy Borman’s King’s Witch trilogy. It follows the continuing fortunes of Frances Gorges, a noblewoman living at King James I’s court under suspicion of witchcraft and involvement in the Gunpowder Plot. But now, in these later years of the reign, she and her family face a new threat in the form of the king’s new favourite, George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham.

Villiers is a young man with the face of an angel – and as his many enemies are about to discover, the cunning heart of a devil. In this illustrated talk, Tracy will tell the real history that inspired her latest novel, taking us into the dark, dangerous and often depraved world of the Stuart court. As she will reveal, the ruthless and charismatic man at the heart of it brought England – and its king – to the brink of destruction.

All funds raised at this event will go to the BGU Foundation Fund – enhancing the student experience and making a difference to other people's lives. (Charity No 1184682)
