Pit your wits against members of the Lincolnshire Society of Architects to see if you can create a well-known building from the Lincolnshire area in a faster time than they can. Anyone taking part will be in with a chance of winning a bumper set of LEGO® Architecture.
We will be looking to recreate builds designed by Lincoln Architect Sam Scorer, including St John the Baptist Church on the Ermine Estate, the restaurant complex located on the Brayford Pool and the old Little Chef at Markham Moor, on the A1 as you come into Lincoln.
The workshop will be led by Lincolnshire Society of Architects (LSA) President Jonathan Thorns and a team of chartered Architects.
Beat the Architect Competition forms part of Mansions of the Future’s Urban Form: Social Architecture & The Commons season (Nov 2019 – March 2020). The programme which intends to engage artists, architects, academics and local citizens in conversation and debate around the past, present and future of Lincoln’s social and civic life, within the context of the local built environment.
