Culture, Health & Wellbeing Awareness in the Arts

    Free

Join us for a workshop and discussion designed specifically to address the importance of Health and Wellbeing in the Arts and Culture sector.

With Martyn Bignell we will explore the Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme, which aims to ‘transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition. Stigma and lack of understanding cause many people with the condition to experience loneliness and social exclusion.’

Dementia Friends Information Sessions are run by volunteer Dementia Friends Champions, who are trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society. Each Information Session lasts around one hour. You will learn more about dementia and how you can help to create dementia friendly communities. There are Information Sessions running across England and Wales.

This session also forms part of the Mansions of the Future Volunteer Masterclass Programme, therefore volunteers will be given priority when booking but all are welcome to attend.
