Jamie Bartlett – The People vs Tech

    Join us for an evening with Jamie Bartlett, author of the fascinating and highly prescient book, The People vs Tech, How the Internet is Killing Democracy (and how we can save it).

    At this event, Jamie will discuss the effect that the Internet is having on democratic politics, how our fragile political system is being threatened by the digital revolution, and how we can take back control. Attendees will also have the opportunity to dig deeper during the Q&A at the end of the talk.

    Jamie is an expert in his field. He is Director of the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media for Demos, he is the the author of several books, including, The Dark Net and Radicals, and writes regularly about online extremism and free speech. In 2017, Jamie presented a two-part documentary called “The Secrets of Silicon Valley” which was shown on BBC2.

    Engage Lincoln are a not-for-profit organisation and we will be using proceeds from the event to raise money for the Nomad Trust in Lincoln.
