    Description

    Lincolnshire County Council Enterprise Team working on behalf of Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership is delivering the Enterprise Advisor Programme in the County. An opportunity has become available for a Careers and Enterprise Coordinator, jointly funded by the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and the Careers & Enterprise Company, to deliver Lincolnshire’s Enterprise Advisor Network Project. This is an exciting opportunity and offers you the chance to support positive outcomes for young people.

    The role as Enterprise Coordinator will help bring together Lincolnshire’s businesses and its schools and colleges to improve their careers and enterprise activities, as well as engaging students with the world of work. It will focus everyone’s efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people and supporting independent careers choice.

    The successful applicant will:

    • Have knowledge and experience of working with young people, schools and colleges
    • Have knowledge of the issues facing businesses
    • Excellent people and partnership skills
    • Experience of creating and supporting networks

    The role will include liaison with schools and businesses and with the Careers & Enterprise Company supporting the day-to-day delivery of the Enterprise Advisor Network.

    In order to be suitable for this role you will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent vocational qualification/suitable experience. You will be able to operate at a senior level and must be able to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

    You will have the ability to manage priorities effectively and efficiently and be able to assimilate new information quickly. You must demonstrate an understanding of the issues and barriers to employment faced by young people as well as an appreciation of what motivates them.

    Fixed Term Contract until 30/9/20 at a Grade 8 with a current appeal to a Grade 9 GLEA. Flexible, hours could be worked over 4 or 5 days to suit applicant and business. May require occasional evening meetings.
