ATTENDANCE OFFICER

Salary:         NJC 7-11 £22,369 to £24,054 per annum (PRO RATA)

Required for June 2023, this large secondary Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated professional to be responsible for delivering school attendance support for students and families, and for ensuring students achieve maximum attendance to allow them to reach their full potential.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage effective and persuasively with students and parents, and will have proven experience of working with attendance within an educational setting.  You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with hard to reach families.

This large secondary Academy is seeking a committed and self-motivated professional who can support our leadership and teaching teams by providing an outstanding data and exams service.

This is a key role that will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of all our student data, developing our existing management information systems to meet the needs of the academy, and leading and executing a timely and compliant annual examination plan.  Knowledge and experience of the public examinations system and the data and assessment requirements of a large secondary school are essential.  Personally, you will demonstrate calmness under pressure, the ability to adapt to changing situations effectively, exceptional analytical skills and forensic attention to detail.  You will need to be resilient, and have the ability to ensure critical tasks are completed without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Lincoln – Think Excitement

Our Academy is situated on the edge of the Cathedral City of Lincoln, regularly recognised as a great place to live and work.  Lincoln is a small, vibrant and safe City dating back to Roman times, a history that is evident throughout the oldest parts of the City.  The popular “uphill” area of the City incorporates the magnificent Gothic Cathedral and Lincoln Castle, home to one of only four remaining copies of the Magna Carta.  The surrounding cobbled streets, including Lincoln’s famous Steep Hill boast a range of bars, restaurants, and specialist shops to explore.   At the bottom of the hill, Lincoln continues to develop around its successful University and the buzzing Brayford Marina, offering an array of bars, restaurants and cinema.  The Arts are well catered for with the Lincoln Theatre Royal, Drill Hall, Engine Shed, and Lincoln Performing Arts Centre providing a range of events from traditional theatre to rock concerts.
