The Students’ Union is an independent body affiliated to the National Union of Students and supports students in both academic and non-academic experiences; whilst working closely with the University and local community. Student Leaders are elected by students, and supported by the staff’s expertise delivering services and represent student needs.
The Receptionist will lead on the Front of House service at the ULSU Group, to ensure that the customer experience is of a high standard and supports the ULSU in the different services that it offers to its stakeholders, including its members and the public.
Key responsibilities include:
- be responsible for overseeing the provision of an effective reception service for the ULSU Group. This includes ensuring that the Reception is ready for customer sales at opening time and that closing procedures are followed at the end of the day
- train and supervise the reception Team Members, enabling them to deal effectively with general enquiries and direct visitors to other ULSU Group and University of Lincoln departments where required
- be responsible for receiving and recording cash and card income in accordance with financial regulations and audit requirements, and ensure that Team Members are aware and follow controls and procedures which are in place
- design and implement NUS Card campaigns, in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications department, and look at ways in which the ULSU Group can support its members in obtaining NUS Cards. This includes ensuring that information is up to date and readily available to members who enquire about NUS Cards, but also take a proactive approach in upselling
