    We are recruiting for a Sales Executive to join our small but busy team to offer support during maternity leave.

    The Lincolnshire Showground is home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, a charity whose main objectives are to promote Food, Farming the Countryside and Sustainability. It hosts a wide range of events from concerts, conferences and exhibitions through to company training days, educational events and awards dinners as well as the flagship event, The Lincolnshire Show.

    Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the primary role within the commercial events team will be to achieve sales targets by converting event enquiries from customers wanting to hire our facilities and proactively selling our products to new clients.

    The role will involve both face-to-face sales as well as an element of proactive telephone calls. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the management and administration of client relationships, as well as ensuring all events are delivered to the highest possible level.

    The Sales Executive will also support the development and implementation of the sales and marketing strategy.

    The successful candidate will need to be a motivated and enthusiastic team player with excellent customer service skills. No two days are the same, so the dealing of tasks need to be completed in an efficient and timely manner. The Sales teamwork alongside all departments of the business including front of house, facilities and marketing so experience of working well in a team, along with being able to time manage your own workload is essential.

    The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the running of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society events. The job would suit a pro-active, outgoing individual with a confident and determined approach and with at least 2 years of previous sales experience. Experience within an events role would also be advantageous. You will need to possess good analytical and numeracy skills.
