Full Time (including some weekends and evenings) — 10 months Fixed Term
This is a very exciting time for the College, amongst many other activities, we are hosting the FEI Pony European Championships in 2018, organising the Lincolnshire Horse Trials and organising and hosting the Bishop Burton Horse Trials. The Equestrian Centre at Riseholme College, has enviable facilities and, provides practical riding and work experience for our students. In addition to the services we currently provide we have an opportunity to develop commercial activity at the Riseholme campus where there are a large range of equine facilities to utilise.
Reporting to and deputising for the Equine Director, you will teach riding skills to students and external customers, be responsible for the care and welfare of all horses in College care and supervise, motivate and guide students and staff, liaising with academic teams to ensure the effective delivery of practical work experience. You will also contribute to and deliver the business plan for the Riseholme Equestrian Centre as well as developing and organising equine events and competitions at all College campuses.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated you should also have relevant and recent experience in a large equine commercial enterprise and a BHSAI or equivalent qualification. You must be able to turn out horses and the yards to a high standard and organise staff and yard routines effectively.
