A woman has been left with serious and potentially life threatening injuries after the car she was driving ploughed into a parked car and a wall in Cleethorpes.

The collision happened shortly after midnight on Wednesday, April 29 on Sandringham Road.

It involved a silver Vauxhall Vectra. The female driver was hospitalised. No one else was injured in the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information should call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 4 of April 29.

Update: Shortly after issuing an appeal to find her, police said Betty had been found.


Lincolnshire Police have issued an urgent appeal to find a 91-year-old woman who is missing from her North Hykeham home.

Betty Ratcliffe left her home on Harewood Crescent between 8pm on April 19 and 7.45am this morning (April 20).

A police spokesperson said: “Betty may appear confused. She is around 5’8 with white hair and may be wearing glasses.

“Please look out for Betty if you are in the area and please check your gardens and outbuildings.

“Call 101 with any sightings or information that could help us find Betty.”
