National arts and crafts retailer Hobbycraft is set to open its doors on Valentine retail park off Tritton Road.

The company is currently advertising to fill vacancies at the store, which will be located next to The Range.

Online job adverts indicate the shop will open in April, but a date hasn’t yet been confirmed by the company.

At the time of writing, contractors are in the newly-built unit carrying out shop fitting work.

The Lincolnite first published the news in September that the company was “exploring opportunities” in the city.

Jamie Lomas, star of Hollyoaks and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here star will appear at a Lincoln nightclub in the new year.

The 42-year-old will be at Home night club on Tuesday, January 30, for the student event Union.

Jamie won the hearts of the nation when he finished runner-up to Georiga Toffolo in ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

He also played Warren Fox in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks on-and-off from 2006.

The event will run from 10pm to 3am, with the chance to meet and greet the actor, who also appeared on Sky One’s Dream Team.

Tickets for the event can be purchased here, and are priced from £4.
