Police appeal after thieves steal cash from Lincoln college ATM

ATM burglary: Offender/s made off with thousands of pounds after raiding a cash machine on a Lincoln college campus.

An investigation is underway after thieves broke into a Lincoln college campus cash machine, making off with thousands.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the burglary was reported at Riseholme College in Lincoln.

The incident was reported after the alarm was activated at the college just after 2.40am on Friday, April 17.

Offender/s are believed to have accessed the building via an insecure window and cut open the standalone cash machine on the ground floor before making off with a quantity of cash.

Standard cash machines in the UK hold around £20,000.

A number of enquiries are underway and officers would like to hear from anyone who might have seen or heard anything in the vicinity at the time, or anyone who might have any information in relation to the incident.
