Horse & Groom seeking garden refurb

New life: The Horse & Groom pub on Carholme Road is looking for a new lease of life with a garden and inside refurb.

The Horse & Groom pub on Carholme Road is looking into refurbishing the outside area of the venue, following a shock closure in January.

A planning application to extend the outside lounge and add jumbrellas (large umbrella) was submitted to the City of Lincoln Council by owners Enterprise Inns.

The company is not ready to disclose when the pub will reopen, or any further details, unless its planning application gets approved by the City Council.

Once a popular gay bar, and then a live music venue, the The Horse & Groom silently closed in January and sat empty ever since.

Now, the venue is looking into improving its outside area and concentrate on food and dining, leaving its former legacy behind.

A better outside area would allow The Horse & Groom to offer amenities for smokers, as well as focus the inside area on dining.
