Fashion show to raise money for charity

Cool fashion: A Lincoln charity is raising money for its hospices by holding a fashion show.

A charity in Lincoln will hold a fashion show this weekend to raise money for its cause. The event, called Fashion Rocks!, is hosted by St Barnabas Hospice at the New Life Centre on Newland Street in Lincoln, on Saturday, October 9, at 7.30pm.

Supporting the event is big high street brand Topshop/Topman, local shop Ego, as well as St Barnabas’ own charity shops in the city.

Marks and Spencers and Warehouse may also join in, while Lincoln College will be on hand to apply models’ makeup for the show.

St Barnabas Hospice Events Fundraiser Beck Otter said: “I am delighted that Topshop, Topman, and Ego are supporting Fashion Rocks! The event appeals to all ages and you can be sure that there is something to suit everybody.”

St Barnabas is a charity that helps care for and support those with terminal illness. The patient hospice is located on Nettleham Road, with shops on Monks Road, Birchwood, Burton Road and Brant Road.

Tickets for Fashion Rocks! cost £8 advance (£10 on the door) with a free glass of wine, and can be purchased from the Fundraising Office on 01522 540300.
