BT Lincoln to join Children in Need

Children in Need: Volunteers at the BT Call Centre in Lincoln will donate their time to take calls for Children in Need.

Employees at the BT Call Centre on Ropewalk, Lincoln, will volunteer outside working hours to take calls on behalf on BBC Children in Need on November 19.

The volunteers will work an extra seven hours to take pledges from viewers from 7pm to 2am on Friday night.

Lincoln is one of five call centres across the country chosen to take donations on behalf of Children in Need, alongside Newcastle, London, Dundee and Warrington.

Last year the appeal raised a record £39 million, and this year’s theme is ‘Show your spots, let’s raise lots!’. Viewers can donate by calling 0345 733 2233.

Joining Pudsey’s call, pupils and staff at Our Lady of Lincoln Catholic Primary School will come into school in a costume made out of spots.

During the day, each class will be completing an activity that they have been sponsored for, whether it be colouring Pudsey or making cakes.

Year 5 will be hosting a cake stall throughout the day, selling delicious Pudsey cakes and biscuits with all money raised being added to the Children in Need bucket.

BBC Lincolnshire are also hosting a Children in Need variety extravaganza at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness on Friday November 19.
