City Council services return to normal

Back to normal: City of Lincoln Council services are finally getting back to normal after freak snow conditions.

Services at the City of Lincoln Council are starting to return back to normal after last week’s weather conditions.

However, the City Council warn that if the weather worsens again the services will again pause.

Here are a list of services that are now running as normal:

  • Bin collections (Collections for refuse, green and recycling back, but very icy streets might be missed)
  • Emergency council housing repairs (except frozen water mains)
  • City Hall
  • Car parks
  • Hartsholme Park car park
  • Leisure Centres (though limited parking)
  • Bus station and Walk and Ride (weekend services will be weather dependent)
  • Community Centres
  • Central Market

Chief Executive at the City of Lincoln Council Andrew Taylor said: “Although we have seen some interruptions to services over the last week or so, we have made every effort to ensure that most services have been operating as normally as possible.

“I’d like to thank all of those teams who have shown great resilience during this unprecedented poor weather and also our customers who have shown a great deal of patience and understanding.

“My message is keep safe, warm and be as patient as possible, we will help you as soon as we can.”
