Police go mobile in St George

On the road: The Carholme policing team will take the mobile policing to Long Leys Road to engage with residents.

Lincolnshire Police’s Carholme Neighbourhood policing team is going mobile on Saturday, February 26, when visiting the St George estate in Lincoln.

The Carholme policing team will take the mobile policing unit between 10am and 3:30pm in the car park along Long Leys Road.

The visit hopes to allow officers to engage with the community, to offer crime prevention advice and to answer any concerns they might have.

If this method of engagement is successful, police hope to do mobile policing unit visits on a regular basis.

PC Luke Casey, PCSO Peter Davies and PCSO Mel Waldren are part of the Carholme Neighbourhood policing team.

Four crimes have been reported in the Long Leys Road area since December 2010, two of which were violent, according to figures from Police.uk.

There were also 35 crimes in the neighbouring West End area during the same period, according to the figures.
