Police warn of car thieves again

Car crime: Thefts from cars is back on the increase in the city, as police have warned Lincolnites again not to leave valuables in their cars.

Police are warning Lincolnites again not to leave valuable items in their cars after a recent spate of thefts in the city.

On February 17/18 on Clayton Road, a thief smashed the window of a Ford Transit and stole two handheld computers.

On the same night, a thief forced open the door of a Ford Fiesta on Richmond Road, stealing an iPod.

Even in daylight, thieves operate, police warned.

Between 1pm and 4.30pm on February 18 along West Parade, an offender forced a car window down, stealing a bag.

If property has to be left in cars, make sure it is out of view from potential thieves.
