Two of three Lincoln Enterprise Inns pubs seeking new management

Tough times: Two of the three Enterprise Inns-owned pubs in Lincoln are still looking for new tenants.

Lincoln pub Ye Olde Crowne is undergoing refurbishment and is seeking a new tenant. The pub, located on Clasketgate, focusses on cask ales and keeps to a traditional English pub style.

Enterprise Inns, owners of the pub, said: “Whilst retaining many of the original features, we are looking to create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere to appeal to a wide range of customers.

“We’re planning a total redevelopment of this famous Lincoln city centre site and seeking an experienced Publican to fully exploit this great business potential.

“Even though the pub is currently closed for refurbishment, the new Ye Olde Crowne will offer a welcoming interior to attracts tourists, shoppers, professionals and well-heeled students with its range of cask ales and fine wines to compliment the good quality home cooked daytime and early evening food.”

Along with the Horse and Groom on Carholme Road, which closed its doors in January 2010, this is the second pub owned by Enterprise Inns in Lincoln that is currently looking for new management.

The only pub owned by the organisation that is still open in Lincoln is The Plough Boy, located on Burton Road, Lincoln.
