Kids ‘Sew into Fashion’ at show

Catwalk: Students from Lincolnshire Fashion Academy strutted their designs at the Sew into Fashion Show.

Students from Lincolnshire Fashion Academy strutted their designs on Friday night at the Sew into Fashion Show catwalk at Lincolnshire Showground’s Epic Centre.

The event on July 8 saw primary and secondary pupils aged 10-17 showcasing their fashion designs, competing for the Designer and Academy Awards.

Councillor Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Children’s Services, who opened the show, said: “This is an exciting venture for many students, allowing them to get up close to the experts and nurture their talents.

“This event is the culmination of work done by students of the Academy – the county’s first fashion academy for schools which gives students the opportunity to work with professional fashion designers to design, make and then model their own clothes.”

As well as the fashion show, there was a dance performance and a Fashion Market, with stalls from across the region selling clothes and accessories.
