Lincoln’s new 115 room DoubleTree by Hilton hotel is set to open on December 12 and is now taking bookings for 2012.

Despite the hotel missing out on Lincoln’s Christmas Market trade, guests can book rooms from January 9, and the 730 square metres of conference space already has reservations.

The hotel, situated on Brayford Wharf North, has 9 deluxe rooms, with a kingsize and sofa bed as well as a balcony with a Cathedral view.

Eight suites will also be available overlooking Brayford Pool, with their own siting area, table and chairs, 42″ LED television and balcony.

Rooms all have Hilton’s own branded Suite Dreams bedding as well as an MP3 dock, hair dryer and takeaway hot drinks cups, and the entire hotel offers free Wifi access.

The Electric Restaurant on the hotel’s top floor will open to the public as well as guests from 6:00am untill 10:00pm from December, offering breakfast and an introductory £20 per head menu for three courses and half a bottle of wine.

Visitors will be able to access the restaurant and rooms by taking the panoramic glass lift, which will offer views of south Lincoln as it ascends.
