A school in Lincoln has donated £200-worth of toys to the children’s wards at Lincoln County Hospital.

Parents and teachers on St Mary’s Preparatory School’s Development Committee raised the money for the toys, as it holds fundraising events throughout the year.

The toys and games will be put to use in the waiting rooms while children wait for the appointments in the Safari and Rainforest wards and Clinic 5.

Headmaster at St Mary’s Preparatory School Greg Das Gupta said: “It has been a pleasure to be able to provide Lincoln County Hospital with such great toys for the children in Clinic 5, Safari and Rainforest wards to enjoy.

“Thank you to all the parents who contributed so generously and we hope all the children enjoy the new toys.”

Health Care Support Worker at United Lincolnshire Hospital NHS Trust Susan Grimes added: “We would like to thank the school for the lovely donation of toys.

“They shall be enjoyed by all the children who come into the hospital for years to come.”
