British Transport Police is looking for a man who exposed himself to passengers a busy train as it travelled between Lincoln and Grimsby.
The incident took place on Saturday, 14 July, at 7.30pm on the 18.35 Lincoln to Grimsby train service.
Police Constable Rachael Croft, the investigating officer, said she would like to speak to anyone who may regognise the man pictured in the CCTV images:
“We received reports from a female on the service who was extremely distressed after a group of men boarded the train and began shouting and swearing.
“One of the men, who was wearing a dress with no underwear, then climbed onto the train seat and exposed his buttocks and genitalia to the female and others in the busy carriage.
“The men and his group of friends left the train at Grimsby but, despite a search by officers shortly afterwards, they couldn’t be traced.”
Police looked to establish the identity of the man, including speaking to witnesses and circulating images on police intelligence systems, but to no avail.
“We have now isolated an image and are looking for anyone who may recognise the man pictured to come forward. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have been on the train and witnessed the incident,” PC Croft added.
“The man’s actions were completely unacceptable. What he may have perceived as fun was in fact very upsetting and distressing for the other passengers on the train.
“If you have any information about the incident, however small, we would really like to speak to you.”
