Possibly connected: Police are appealing for information after two women were assaulted in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police are looking to identify a man after two separate assaults on women in Lincoln, which could be connected.

The incidents took place on Carholme Road and Newland Street West in the early hours of Saturday, October 13.

A man approached the women while they were walking home alone. On both occasions the women challenged the offender and he ran off. Neither victim was hurt.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid to late 30s and around 5ft 5in to 5ft 6in tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing casual clothing.

DI Suzanne Davies said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Saturday morning to contact me if you saw a lone male hanging around the area between 1.30am and 2am on Saturday.

“I am particularly trying to contact a man and woman, who asked one of the victims if she was ok and needed any help in Drake Street. They may have information that could help us.

“I would like to reassure the public that these are unusual attacks, but I would urge friends to walk home together after a night out or share a taxi.”
