Some Lincolnshire schools propose pupil admissions policy changes

Admissions changes: Some schools in Lincolnshire could see changes to the way they admit pupils if proposals are passed.

Schools admission authorities in Lincolnshire are consulting parents on proposed changes to pupils intake policy from 2014.

The potential changes in admission arrangements will not affect all schools, so it’s advised to check the County Council website to see which schools are looking to change their policies.

The proposals affect private, academy or County Council-controlled schools.

In Lincoln, these changes could affect Welton William Farr School and Lincoln Hartsholme Academy.

The policies detail what happens in the case of over subscriptions, if siblings already attend the school, applications for twins, and pupils joining schools later in the year.

Consultation closes on February 28, with the final policies available from May 1.

Anyone can look at the documents and leave a comment through the website, or contact the admissions authority directly at: Office of the Schools Adjudicator, Mowden Hall, Staindrop Road, Darlington, DL3 9BG or by calling 0870 0012468 if you have objections.
