A taste of Italy: The new Italian restaurant on Lincoln High Street had its official opening, with the chain founder also making an appearance.

The latest restaurant in Lincoln’s “little Italy”, Carluccio’s, had its official opening on Thursday, April 4, with the founder of the chain visiting the city.

Carluccio’s invited a number of guests to their evening opening, including an appearance from Italian chef and restaurateur Antonio Carluccio.

Guests were served a range of antipasti canapés, alongside prosecco, while serenaded by a lively accordion player.

Carluccio’s restaurant and deli shop replaced the Lamb and Flag pub earlier in the year, and opened for trade last week.

The menu caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner guests, alongside a children’s menu, gluten-free items and drinks.
