Lincoln Eastgate church burgled

The St Peter in Eastgate church in Lincoln has been burgled, with stolen items estimated to be worth several thousands of pounds.

The break in took place some time between 6pm on March 25 and 10am on March 28.

Some very valuable metal items were stolen including four metal chandeliers and a large brass lectern, the size of which would have required two people to lift it.

The items are estimated to be worth several thousand pounds.

Police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the enquiry.
