Body Shop leaves Lincoln’s Waterside Shopping Centre

Moving on: The Body Shop will be moving out of a Lincoln shopping centre, it has been confirmed.

Cosmetics company The Body Shop will be leaving the Lincoln’s Waterside Shopping Centre, it has been confirmed.

Capital & Regional, the company operating the Waterside on High Street, said that The Body Shop will not renew its lease.

It will vacate its unit on the ground floor on July 13, 2013. At present, The Body Shop International PLC has not confirmed if it will be staying in Lincoln.

Roy Greening, General Manager at the Waterside, said: “We are sorry the The Body Shop has decided to leave the Waterside Shopping Centre, we would have preferred for them to stay.

“However, at the same time, we are very excited by the calibre and number of retailers that have expressed an interest in coming to the Waterside Shopping Centre.

“We are committed to making the Waterside Shopping Centre the best shopping experience in Lincoln and, as such, are always promoting the mall and the city to retailers with the aim of attracting them to Lincoln.”
