Unique piggy bank stolen in Lincoln burglary

Stolen items: Police are looking for information as a piggy bank was stolen during a burglary.

Lincolnshire Poilce are hunting for a special piggy bank which was stolen in a burglary in Lincoln.

The incident happened on July 13-14 overnight, between 11pm and 5am, on Hewson Road.

The offender gained entry by forcing the rear door, and stole a laptop, iPod and black ceramic piggy bank like the one pictured.

The piggy bank was full of mainly silver coins.

Police believe the offender may draw attention to themselves by paying for goods with large quantities of silver.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious during that time in the area, or are suspicious of someone paying for items in large quantities of silver, should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 46 of the 14.07.2014.
