Video: Turkish F16 skims onlookers’ heads at Waddington Air Show

Close approach: Aircraft enthusiasts were ducking for cover when a Turkish F16 jet approached the RAF Waddington runway extremely low after its display.

Aircraft enthusiasts were ducking for cover when a Turkish F16 jet approached the RAF Waddington runway extremely low after its display.

The incident was filmed during the Waddington Airshow 2014.

It shows people gathered close to a stretch of the airfield by the A15 who got a scare from the low approach of the Turkish jet.

No-one was injured during the F16’s impressive dive into the RAF base.

The jet was part of the Soloturk display, as the team of 13 showed off the capability of the Turkish Air Force’s high-performance F16 aircraft

Last year, the Typhoon gave Air Show thrill seekers a similar scare when it approached the runway really low. Watch the video.
