Police appeal after Lincoln stabbing

Two stabbings: A Lincoln man has been stabbed in the Portland Street area of Lincoln overnight, hours after a Market Rasen stabbing.

A Lincoln man has been stabbed in the Portland Street area of the city overnight.

Police are investigating the stabbing, which took place in Walnut Place at around 7.40pm on Friday, April 17.

A 38-year-old local man was taken to Lincoln County Hospital (LCH).

The area has been cordoned off to enable a forensic examination of the scene to be carried out.

Anyone who has any information about this incident is asked to call the Lincolnshire Police via the 101 non-emergency number quoting incident number 417.

The stabbing was the second to have been reported in Lincolnshire in the space of a few hours.

A 19-year-old man was stabbed near to the Capri Pizza shop in Market Rasen at around 5.40pm on April 17.

Two men aged 18 and 35 from Grimsby have been arrested in connection with the incident, which is being dealt with under incident number 358.
