Cleethorpes paddling pool will reopen on Friday, August 5, after a brief period of closure due to health and safety concerns.

The pool, which has been a popular local attraction for families and visitors to the resort, was closed whilst the plant room underwent necessary repair works, bringing it in line with current health and safety standards.

North East Lincolnshire Council Deputy Leader David Watson said he was delighted the pool was re-opening in time for most of the school holidays.

He said: “The pool is a valuable and popular amenity which provides fun and entertainment for not only our local community, but for those visiting our Cleethorpes.

“However it’s important that it meets current health and safety standards, and is in full working order.

“Now that the repairs have been made, I look forward to seeing local people and visitors enjoy the paddling pool over the current holidays and for a long time to come.”

The paddling pool will be open Monday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm, from Friday, August 5.
