The annual 1940s weekend in Lincoln saw a number events take place across the city.

The main event, which took place at Brayford Pool on Sunday, August 21, saw hundreds gather along the waterfront.

Memorabilia, arts and crafts and vintage clothing were for sale at stalls on the Brayford.

Vintage military vehicles, also known as “soft skins”, were also on display.

A special flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire is scheduled for 2.30pm.

People were encouraged to wear 1940s-style dresses, military wear and accessories and do their hair in the style of the day, and the people of Lincoln didn’t disappoint!
