Families invited to mayor’s Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Lincoln park

The Mayor of Lincoln’s Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Hartsholme Country Park takes place on Saturday, September 10, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Activities will run from 12pm to 4pm, which will include face painting, a bouncy castle, musical statues, funfair rides, a tombola and a sing-a-long with princesses.

A Minion, Olaf from Disney’s Frozen and Mr Hearty, the British Heart Foundation mascot will all be making appearances.

There will also be stalls offering more activities throughout the day.

Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Yvonne Bodger said: “We’ve got plenty of activities for little ones and their teddy bears to enjoy, as well as the opportunity to learn more about my nominated charity, the British Heart Foundation.”

There will be lots of competitions throughout the day. Visitors can enter their teddies into three competitions:

  • Largest teddy bear competition – entries must be submitted by 1pm on the day
  • Smallest teddy bear competition – entries by 1.15pm
  • Best dressed teddy bear – entries by 3pm

There will also be a competition to guess the name of a teddy bear which has been donated by Stonebow Bears.
